Tour Details

Experience traditions passed down from generation to generation in the Konavle Valley region located just outside of Dubrovnik. The Konavle Valley, with approximately 22 villages, is famous for its beautiful landscapes, lush vineyards, elegant national costumes that have been carefully preserved and passed down through generations.

The village of Cilipi is one of the largest villages within the Konavle Valley. Known for its beautiful folk costumes sported by both men and women and the colourful folk dance, the Lindo, the village is famous for its folklore. The village of Cilipi welcomes you with traditional herb brandy and dry figs before your guide walks you through the picturesque rural village. Take a stroll by the many stands and cars at the Sunday Market, where you can purchase homemade goods. Visit the local Wine Cellar and attend Mass (optional) in the local church before witnessing the traditional folk dances.

There is also time to visit the Konavle Ethnographic Museum in Cilipi, which showcases a typical Konavle dwelling. Be sure to check out the Konavle jewelry, fashions, and traditional wedding attire at the museum. Experience the folk traditions passed down from generation to generation while on your tour of the village of Cilipi. From the traditional folk dances held every Sunday to the stunning embroidery of their national uniforms, the village of Clilip is a must see on your trip to Croatia.
