The first stop on this excursion is at the spectacular Opaekaa Falls, Kauai's most accessible major waterfall. Opaekaa means "rolling shrimp" which were once abundant in the stream. As the tour continues we travel a bit further uphill to reach the overlook of Wailua River, the only navigable river in the Hawaiian Islands. The river is a long, slowly meandering river that starts at the Waiメaleメale Crater and is fed by many tributaries on its way to the ocean.
Next we head to Old Kapaa Town, a quaint 19th century plantation town lined with a variety of unique shops and restaurants--a wonderful place to take a stroll and see what the local merchants have to offer.
Your excursion continues as we make our way to the Hanalei Valley Lookoutラoffering a perfect view of paradise. Be awed by the lush greenery of the taro patches, glimmering green leaves, and the moss-colored mountains all set against the deep blue Hawaiian sky above. The last stop on the tour is a visit to Kilohana Plantation, the site of the historic landmark Wilcox Mansion, which offers a variety of events and attractions.
